How to Register Death in Singapore?
All deaths in Singapore must be reported within 24 hours. You can register the death at any Neighborhood Police Post or Police Division Headquarters. There is no fee for registering a death. Registration and collection of Death Certificate will be processed on the spot.
You will need to provide the following documents:
- A Certificate of Cause of Death (CCOD) issued by a doctor or authorized medical practitioner
- The deceased’s identification documents (NRIC and/or passport) for cancellation
- Your identification documents (IC or passport). The person registering the death does not need to be related to the deceased.
Should death occur at home unexpectedly, you will need to engage a doctor or authorized medical practitioner to certify the death. You may also call us directly as we have doctors who can corroborate the event.
What is the Dapur Kubur (grave monument)?
The Dapur Kubur is a permanent grave monument placed at the burial site. Our Premium Package at $3,000 is the only package in Singapore that includes a Dapur Kubur, its NEA permit, and one year of complimentary grave maintenance — all in one price.
Does Ihsan Casket offer Tahlil recitation?
Yes. Tahlil recitation is included in the Standard Package, subject to availability. The Premium Package includes Tahlil specifically by Darul Ihsan residents on Malam Jumaat — a meaningful and spiritually significant addition for families seeking continued prayers for their loved one.
